International Students, Inc. (ISI) welcomes you to Denver by offering an airport pickup service. ISI is a recognized Christian Friendship Organization on the University of Denver Campus. ISI offers this service to any first-time arriving international students. The airport is about 30 miles outside the city center.
Christmas Holiday Block Out dates for Airport Pick Up arrivals from December 22-27.
Please read all the following information before applying.
What is the airport pickup program?
- Pickup from Denver International Airport (DIA)
- Up to three night’s stay with an American family
- Meals while with the host family
- Transportation to your apartment, DU campus housing or hotel/motel
How much does this cost?
This service is free. However, please understand that
long-term housing arrangements are your responsibility.

How do you apply?
Step One -
When your flight arrangements are assured, fill out the application form.
Please note
- Applications cannot be accepted by telephone. All applications must be in writing.
- Your request must be received TEN DAYS OR MORE before your arrival in Denver.
- You should receive a response within 72 hours confirming your request. If faxing, make sure you give our fax number including the country code.
- Calls cannot be accepted upon arrival at Denver International Airport by international students who have not made previous arrangements.
What do you do after you arrive at Denver International Airport?
If arriving on a domestic flight
There is a train that takes you from the concourse to the main terminal. At the main terminal, proceed to baggage claim. Your host will meet you at baggage claim. Your host will hold a sign with your name on it. If they do not come after 30 minutes, go to the information booth and request they page your host.
If arriving on an international flight
Your host will meet you outside Customs. Your host will hold a sign with your name on it.

Your American family is looking forward to meeting you. They want to provide meals and a friendly atmosphere for you during your brief stay with them. After meeting you they will help you get your baggage and take you to their home for the night. The next day they will take you to your next lodging.
Please don’t make multiple arrangements
Please DO NOT make parallel arrangements for pick-up with other persons.
This could cause confusion and hurt feelings for all involved.
